PMA (Services) Limited (“PMA”) designs, installsand maintains commercial and domestic properties throughout the UK inclusive of the supply and installation of modular buildings. The scope of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System covers the work conducted at the client’s sites and at our offices.
PMA recognises that its office and on-site activities give rise to a range of hazards. It also recognises that its employees may be exposedto hazards when providing on-sitesupport to their clients.
PMA believes that despite the presence of these hazards,all accidents and incidents of work-related ill-health are preventable. It also recognises it has a legal responsibility to ensure the health, safetyand welfare of persons affected by its activities.
As such, PMA is committed to:
- Preventinginjury or ill-health to anyone who may be affected by itswork activities.
- Complyingwith all relevantlegal, client and otherrequirements to which PMA subscribes.
- Continuallyimproving our OH&Smanagement and occupational health & safetyperformance.
- Implementing and promoting ‘TargetBOS’ behavioral safety program.
- Providinginformation, instructions, trainingand supervision to all employeesto ensure they properly discharge their responsibilities and duties.
- Continuously train our employeeswith current best practices and innovation.
- Regularlyset objectives and review performance.
PMA will achieve these commitments throughthe following means:
- The implementation and maintenance of an Occupational Health and SafetySystem that is independently certified as compliant with ISO 45001:2018.
- The systematic identification of hazards presentand the application of a risk assessment procedure that will identify and implement appropriate control measures and safe systems of work.
- The setting and maintenance of a set of OH&Sobjectives and a supporting programof work that is focused on achieving its commitments and eliminating or reducing the major hazards present.
- The clear definition of individual management and employee responsibilities for implementing the Occupational Health and Safety System and achieving the Company’s commitments.
- The provision of appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision so that all employees:
- are awareof their responsibilities and legal duties
- can support the implementation of our Occupational Health and SafetySystem and the development of a proactive Health and Safety culture.
- The maintenance of effective systemsof communication and consultation on Health and Safety issues with our employees and other persons affected by the PMA’s activities.
The appropriateness and effectiveness of this Policy and the means identified within it for delivering the Company’s commitments will be reviewed on an annual basis by the senior Management.
The implementation of this Occupational Health and SafetyPolicy is fundamental to the successof PMA’s business and must be supported by all employees as an integral part of their daily work.
